The Bambace Peterson Team works from a five-person office on San Carlos Street, in the middle of the village it sells. Dana Bambace and Mark Peterson grew up on the Monterey Peninsula and formed their Compass team in 2018. They have since closed more than $860 million across 350 transactions, split evenly between sellers and buyers, and MLS records put them first among Compass teams on the Peninsula every year from 2018 through 2025.

Their recent Carmel-by-the-Sea work runs from the beach to the edge of downtown. The team listed Surf's Up, a single-level home built in 1966 and steps from Carmel Beach, which came to market for the first time in its history and sold at $6.1 million. They also sold a three-bedroom home on Lopez 8 NE of 4th Avenue at $4.2 million, and they currently offer 331 5th Avenue, a pied-a-terre close to the village's cafes and galleries, at $4,475,000.

Buying or selling here works differently from the rest of the coast. Homes have no street numbers and go by location, lots are often around 4,000 square feet, the city reviews exterior design changes, and short-term rentals aren't allowed in residential districts. Those details shape what a home is worth and what a buyer can do with it. Counting the team profile and both agents' individual profiles, the team holds 98 Zillow reviews at a 5.0 rating, and in 2025 RealTrends named them to its Top 100 Bay Area agents and California's Leading 100 Small Teams.
